In an update of his popular Lunch Lecture five years ago, Dr. Robert Friedlander will provide an overview of modern Brain Surgery techniques and discuss some of the leading-edge research that is being done at Pitt in brain function and disorders. Dr. Friedlander’s specific research interests include but are not limited to Huntington’s Disease, ALS, and Neuronal Cell Death. Note that this Lunch Lecture is suitable for non-Medical attendees!
A graduate of Brandeis and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Friedlander spent nearly 20 years teaching and conducting research at the Harvard Medical School before coming to the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 in his current role.
