Our next CMU Swartz in the City event will feature two cutting-edge, CMU startups, Shift Robotics and Mach9 Robotics, and their respective Founders/CEOs, Xunjie Zhang and Alex Baikovitz.

This event is open to anyone who would like to attend – simply RSVP, below.

Shift Robotics – Upon graduating from Carnegie Mellon’s Robotic Institute, Xunjie Zhang teamed up with a group of really talented race car engineers, roboticists, and sneaker designers to do one thing – to pack everything you find in an electric vehicle into a form factor of a shoe so that you can effortlessly walk at a running speed. Five years later and we have Moonwalkers – the world’s first electrical shoes that enable you to walk at the speed of a run intuitively and effortlessly.

Mach9 Robotics –  Mach9 Robotics is the world’s digital surveyor for engineering and construction. Mach9 Robotics was created to build software that understands how the world is changing. Alex Baikovitz will be here to show how they is mapping the world, one sensor at a time.

The evening will be hosted by Dave Mawhinney, Executive Director of the CMU Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available, as well as complimentary samples of newly-imported Belgica Beer. There is no charge for this event, but we do ask that you RSVP:
