The April 2024 Innovation Salon event will feature Len Caric, CEO of the Howe Company and Carnegie Mellon Professor of Entrepreneurship.  Len’s topic will be “Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA): How-To & Investing In ETA”.  Len will share his insights on entrepreneurial alternatives, investing in founder-led businesses, and navigating business succession and growth challenges.  As always, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cigars, and a cash bar will be available.

Speaker Bio:

Len Caric is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business and is a serial entrepreneur (through acquisition).  Len has owned and managed six companies over his career.  Most recently, Len acquired The George J. Howe Company, a purveyor of candies, nuts and freshly roasted coffee since 1927.  He also recently launched Smashed Waffles in the Pittsburgh area.  Previously, Len owned and served as President/CEO of Uncle Charley’s Sausage Company,  Penn Brewery, and McKnight Cylinder, among others.  He holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MSIA in Entrepreneurial Studies from Carnegie Mellon.
